— Lose your Mind!

Feeling better is often like being sucked by a black hole!

Its like trying to claw upwards on a slippery surface!!

Similes and metaphors apart, its a day to day challenge that throws one off-guard at the slightest of pretexts!!!

Its the nature of our mind that once it latches onto a “hook”, it gets into “binge” thinking mode.

While its in this mode, it fetches all the relevant inputs either to prove it right or disprove it as wrong.

And if it doesn’t have all the information, it taps into the universe by sending out “heuristic” vibes resonating with the issue in hand. It’ll be 24 X 7 relentless subconscious pursuit till it finds its “echo”!

Given the “Involuntary” nature of this pursuit, its a boon as well as a bane at the same time, depending upon how its leveraged.

In the sense, if the issue at hand leads to detrimental consequences, then the Involuntary pursuit is bane, working against your better future and vice versa.

So, how to break the cycle, if its detrimental to one’s interests?

Abraham Hicks, a popular spiritual Healer, has a very simple antidote for this.

She advises one to go “general”, meaning divert your attention to general good things prevailing at the moment e. g., fine weather or some other good thing happening at the time that might not have any apparent connection with the issue one’s preoccupied with.

This diversion effectively breaks the thought patterns, giving one the much needed breathing space to recover from the nauseating issue.

Its important to hold on to this window of Opportunity, however insignificant it may be.

And let the mind’s innate curiosity to build positive offshoots by being inquisitive.

One may even resort to absurd aspects of this opportunity so that mind is engaged in probing deeper and deeper into various different possibilities rather than revering back to the nauseating issue.

Once being curious is made habitual, it’d be a befitting signal to the subconscious mind to expand its horizons and be on the look out for positive consequences.

Try it out and see how it works for you!
